Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Buzzed Technologies (“Buzzed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects through buzzedtech.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are based in New York City. Questions go to hi@buzzedtech.com.

The short version: we only collect what you send us or what we need to run the site. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Information you give us

• Contact and consultation requests: your name, email, company, and message.
• Paid consultations: your name, email, company, website, and the hours you select. Payment is handled by Stripe on its own checkout page; we never see or store your card details.
• Job applications: your name, phone number, LinkedIn or GitHub URL, résumé, and anything else you choose to include.
• Mailing list and AI impact report: your email, plus any business details you enter (business name, website, industry, location, and role) and whether you want to receive updates.

2. Information collected automatically

• Analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few events, such as when a form is submitted. It does not use cookies or identify you across sites. It records the page, referrer, country or region, and device and browser type. The anonymous visitor hash it uses is discarded after 24 hours.
• Server and security logs: like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site. To prevent abuse of the AI impact report, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address in memory for up to 24 hours.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We only set cookies that make features you ask for work:

• googtrans is set when you choose a language other than English and remembers that choice. It is deleted when you switch back to English.
• privacy_notice_dismissed is set when you dismiss our privacy notice so we do not show it again. It lasts 12 months.

Google Translate. Translation is provided by Google. If you choose a language other than English, your browser loads Google’s translation script, and Google receives your IP address and the page text in order to translate it. This is covered by Google’s privacy policy. If you stay in English, the script is never loaded.

Bot protection. Our job application form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated submissions. It checks signals from your browser to tell people from bots, and it is not used for advertising.

Payments. Stripe’s checkout page runs on Stripe’s own domain and uses its own cookies for payment processing and fraud prevention.

4. How we use your information

• To reply to your inquiry and schedule consultations;
• To process payments and deliver the work you purchase;
• To review job applications and contact candidates;
• To generate the AI impact report you request;
• To send updates, but only if you signed up for the mailing list or opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• To keep the site secure and understand overall traffic.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, our legal bases are: performing a contract with you (consultations and payments), taking steps at your request before a contract (inquiries and applications), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics), and your consent (marketing emails and translation).

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, and only for the purposes above:

• Vercel for hosting, analytics, and routing AI requests;
• MailerSend to deliver form submissions and applications to our team by email;
• Stripe for payments;
• Google to store mailing list signups, and for translation when you choose it;
• Cloudflare for bot protection on the application form;
• Anthropic and Exa, through Vercel’s AI Gateway, to research and write the AI impact report. They receive the business details you enter, not your email address.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep it

We keep inquiries, consultation records, and applications for as long as we need them to respond, deliver our services, or consider you for a role, and then delete them. We keep payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep mailing list entries until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email hi@buzzedtech.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Children

This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
